Mental Wellness Advocate, Community Builder & Founder
I’m Katherin the founder of BlocQ Behavioral Health and Wellness On The BlocQ. My work sits at the intersection of mental health access, community, and honest conversations about what it means to take care of ourselves — individually and collectively.
I don’t believe mental wellness lives only inside a therapy session. I believe it also lives in community, in connection, and in spaces where people feel seen before they ever ask for help.
My journey into this work didn’t begin with a business plan — it began with questions.
I saw how many people wanted support but didn’t know where to start. I saw others who had access to therapy, yet still felt isolated, disconnected, or unsure how to integrate wellness into everyday life. And I saw how often mental health was treated as something you only engage with when you’re already in crisis.
I knew there had to be another way — one that made mental wellness more accessible, more human, and less intimidating.
That belief became the foundation for everything I’ve built.
ORIGIN STORY
I founded BlocQ Behavioral Health because high-quality mental health care should be accessible, ethical, and centered on the client — not constrained by broken systems or stigma.
This practice exists to support licensed clinicians in doing their best work, while removing as many barriers to care as possible for the people who need it. I believe deeply in the role of therapy, and in protecting the integrity of clinical care by keeping it clinician-led and client-centered.
Building a structure that allows clinicians to focus on care — while the business side is handled responsibly — was essential to me.
The practice and social club work together to support wellness, each in its own way.
WHY BLOCQ BEHAVIORAL HEALTH MATTERS TO ME
At the same time, I also knew therapy alone isn’t the whole picture.
The mental wellness social club was created to offer something different: a space for connection, learning, and shared experience — without the pressure of diagnosis or treatment.
It’s a place for people who want to be proactive about their mental wellness, build community, and engage in conversations that normalize care, growth, and self-reflection.
The club and the practice serve different purposes, but they share the same heart: making mental wellness more accessible, less isolating, and more integrated into everyday life.
All events and community activities are non-clinical and focus on connection and proactive wellness.
As a speaker, I share my perspective on mental wellness, community building, and what it takes to create systems that actually support people.
My talks are grounded in lived experience, leadership, and advocacy — not clinical instruction.
